There is a new release of DemoRecorder-24×7 with version number 2.5.29.1.<\/p>\n

DemoRecorder-24×7 is our screen recorder product for mission critical 24×7 recording.<\/p>\n

It runs on systems using the X11-window system
\nwhich includes Linux and most Unix-like operating systems.<\/p>\n

It is designed for use in areas like air traffic control and railway traffic control.

Installation requires sysadmin skills because the recording process is to be installed as an X11-proxy.
\nIf you need help for that please write to support at demorecorder.com <\/p>\n

Compared to the last release the following has changed:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. mouse-click and keyboard recording and playback:\n
      \n
    • For showing the keyboard-image in playback, please use option –show-keyboard-image for “demorec”<\/li>\n
    • For showing the event-list in playback, please use option –show-eventlist for “demorec”<\/li>\n
    • keyboard recording is disabled by default for security reasons
      \n because recording passwords can be a security problem.<\/li>\n
    • To enable it please use option “-enable-keyrec” for demorec-proxy.<\/li>\n

      \t\t\tThere is an API for enabling and disabling keyboard
      \n\t\t\trecording. See the API source tree for details.
      \n\t\t\tIt also contains a dummy password entry example
      \n\t\t\twhich disables keyboard recording temporarily
      \n\t\t\twhile the password is entered.
      \n\t\t\tOther examples are for<\/p>\n

        \n
      • querying the keyboard recording mode, and displaying it,<\/li>\n
      • changing the keyboard recording mode.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n
      • support for XInput and XKB extensions with XCB-based lean-proxy.
        \n\tIn the last few months I have fixed the following things there:<\/p>\n
          \n
        • fix the XCB protocol description for XInput and XKB.<\/li>\n
        • fixed issues with sequence-numbers. Especially those needed for XCB-clients.<\/li>\n
        • support for byteswapped clients with XInput and XKB is fixed now.\n

          \tFor testing the byteswapped stuff I have
          \n\treactivated my old Sparc Blade 100 and
          \n\tinstalled Linux on it.
          \n\tByteswapping was also implicitly tested with a test computer from a customer.<\/li>\n

        • general testing and bugfixing.<\/li>\n
